We’re not aiming for a strictly formal affair, but we’d love to see suits and dresses, elegant yet relaxed, so feel free to keep it comfortable but not too much ;-)
It’s late summer, so expect warm sunshine during the day and a cooler breeze as evening sets in. We suggest bringing a light layer for when the sun goes down.
We’ve rounded up our favorite spots in Verona, from cozy Osterias and buzzing wine bars to perfect pizza joints and charming cafés. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite, a lingering dinner, or a leisurely aperitivo, there’s something here for every craving.

Planning your time in Verona is easier with a few essentials at hand. In this section, you'll find practical info on transportation, accommodation, useful contacts, and handy links to help you move around and make the most of your stay.
Verona is a walkable city, but if you need public transport, local buses can help you reach most areas. For routes, schedules, and tickets, check the ATV Verona website.
If you're planning to use or rent a car, be aware that driving and parking in the historic city center (ZTL) is restricted to residents and hotel guests (not Airbnb or B&B guests) with a garage inside the zone. The ZTL is strictly enforced with cameras, and unauthorized access will result in a fine.
Outside the ZTL, in surrounding areas, you can drive freely and paid street parking is available.
For this reason, if you’re planning to get a car, consider staying in a place with a garage or near one of the public parking garages. Make sure to check the official info on ZTL access and parking zones in Verona before driving.
A car is only really useful if you're planning day trips to the countryside, Lake Garda, or nearby wine regions. If you're planning to visit another city, taking the train is usually the most convenient option.
Verona offers a variety of accommodations, from boutique hotels and cozy B&Bs to stylish apartments. The best areas to stay are the historic city center and the start of Veronetta, both charming, walkable, and close to main attractions, restaurants, and cafés.
The city center puts you right in the heart of the action, surrounded by history. Veronetta, just across the river, has a more local, youthful vibe with plenty of bars and a laid-back feel.
We’ve created a custom Google Map to help you choose where to stay. The recommended area is in green, other good options in yellow, and the purple area highlights is the hillside, great for agriturismi and countryside escapes, though a car is almost essential if staying there.
If you’re considering a place outside the marked areas, feel free to reach out, we’re happy to let you know if it’s a good choice or not. Some neighborhoods are totally fine, but others might not be the best experience.
